ABSTRACT

Objective : The purpose of this study was to evaluate visual perception tested by DTVP-2 and MVPT-R, which are currently used in clinics and to find correlation between the two tests. Methods : We checked the visual perception of 62 preschoolers in Daejeon and Iksan between May 13, 2003 and August 29, 2003 by using DTVP-2 and MVPT-R.Results : The correlation between DTVP-2 and MVPT-R scores was very significant resulting in r=0.583 from PQ and r=0.731 from PA on both measurement tools. The mean scores of the subjects’ age classified in subordinate items of DTVP-2 were the highest in Copy area and low in SR, VC, VMS items. Conclusion : The study sees high correlation between DTVP-2 and MVPT-R. The national standard data gathered by sufficient number of regional children are necessary for further appli-cation of both the measurement tools.
