ABSTRACT
Objective: This study aimed to identify research trends related to occupational therapy in intensive care units (ICUs) using bibliometric analysis. Methods: This study retrieved articles from the Web of Science database and conducted a bibliometric analysis. Performance analysis was performed using Microsoft Excel, and scientific mapping was conducted with VOSviewer through co-citation and co-occurrence analyses. Results: A total of 211 articles were analyzed, with 51.7% published in the last five years, indicating an increasing trend in research activity. The United States accounted for the highest number of publications, and rehabilitation was the most active research field. The journal with the most publications was Critical Care Medicine. Co-occurrence keyword analysis revealed four clusters: intervention, survivorship, early rehabilitation, and early mobilization. Conclusion: This study provides a comprehensive analysis of research trends in occupational therapy in intensive care units using bibliometric analysis. The findings are expected to serve as a foundation for establishing future research directions in this field.
