Action Research on Development of Driving Education Record for the Disabled

ABSTRACT
Objective: This study was conducted to develop an integrated record sheet of driving education that can be used in the field of driving education for the disabled in the community. Methods: This study developed a driving education record following the model of a action research through planning, execution, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through interviews with driving rehabilitation instructors responsible for disabled driving education, as well as through observations during education sessions and existing records. The collected data were analyzed using standard qualitative analysis procedures. Results: In the process of developing the integrated record sheet for driving education for the disabled, improvements could be derived by reflecting the opinions of driving rehabilitation instructors and experts in the field of driving rehabilitation. Finally, the records separated by process were integrated and valuable input from driving rehabilitation instructors and experts in the field was incorporated to identify areas for improvement. Eventually, the separate record sheets, categorized by process, were integrated and enhanced into an integrated record sheet for driving education. Conclusion: This study presented the process of improving the record sheet used in the driving education field for the disabled at the National Rehabilitation Center as an action research. The integrated record sheet for the driving education for the disabled developed can be used as preliminary data for the driving education records.
